I stayed in hostels through all my travels in OZ. Many different hostels but all cool people I met along the way. Indy's Backpackers in Bondi Beach...very cool. Remember to book inadvance, otherwise you may be out of luck.
average price I paid was anywhere from $12-$25AUS. A night.
