Pine Trees and Cranberry Bogs

Wild cranberries have been harvested since settler times long ago. Of course, it's a little more sophisticated now.
The pinelands is a perfect home for cranberries, providing both sandy marshes and fresh water supplied by an extensive underground aquifer.
Students in 4th grade all over New Jersey study the state. On any given school day in fall, you can see a mass of 4th graders taking a cranberry bog tour. (reports on trip due on Monday)

    Other than bogs and bugs, there are some great off-road trails in and out of Chatsworth. Great pics...
