Hike from Kandersteg to Blausee

If you are staying in Kandersteg, you really should do this hike! It is only about an hour and 10 minute walk. The grade is even or at times, sloping downhill. It's very wide and popular with cyclists too.

The walk out of Kandersteg will take you past the water works station, a cool site in itself. Then you follow along the river mostly, although there are also plenty of times you will find yourself cutting through farmer's fields.

You'll end up roadside with a short 2 minute walk to the Blausee entrance. This trout farm is privately owned, so of course there is an entrance fee!

The Blausee is a trout farm. And they must be raising them right, for the lake is full of them!

Keep your breadcrumbs to yourself. I guess they are on a special 'grow big and tasty, cuz' we're gonna' eat you later' diet.
