Schloss Sommersdorf

Schloss Sommersdorf is a castle situated very close to the Romantic Road. It is a lovely place to stay. There are several apartments to chose from. On this trip we rented two apartments. My mom and sis stayed in the castle; hubby and I stayed in an adjacent cottage. Both apartments were very nice, but I prefered ours as it had it's own large kitchen, dining, and livingroom area. Also a very nice outdoor seating area by the pond is located right out the back door. My mom and sis had a smaller sitting and dining area, but they could, and did use the livingroom area for all guests in the castle. They did enjoy meeting and mingling with another family staying in the castle (from California).

Staying in the castle sounds fantastic but a bit too expensive for me. It seems you all had a great time.
