Just a Glimpse

We arrived and left Spain through Bilbao, our main destination being Vitoria, but we were able to spend two days here. The first day our friends guided us around the city and then we came back to the city on our own for a day.
Here's a tip so you won't sound as foolish as me: Bilbao is pronounced "bill-bow ". The "bow" is the doggie "bow" and should linger into a slow non-existence! So now you're one step ahead of where I was.

Flying into Bilbao

The countryside surrounding Bilbao is mostly rural. Low, rolling mountains, farmland and copses of evergreen trees.
Bilbao itself, is a hilly city and the outskirts are dotted with green, rolling parklands, allowing the city dwellers a place to relax and enjoy nature.

Good page.. All over Spain clothes are dried outside, In Britain I know in some places it is "illegal" to do so, here there are no such rules and as the weather is good in most places then it makes sense, though of course some say it's ugly...

Cool pages! I like the view of the City Hall, reminds me of what I'd forgotten (if that makes sense). The Museo Guggenheim sort of blows you away when you see it!!
