Bold, Beautiful, But Buggy, Burano

The house of Strada Corte Comare
We spent one morning strolling this very walkable little island. Like Venice, it is car free. The houses you see here are pretty much what the rest of the island looks like. It was very hot this day and besides the main street in the center of the island, Via B. Galuppi, it was pretty empty...
I would have liked to stay longer, the photo opportunities are endless. Lunch on the island would have been nice too, but Jenna was bored, the bugs were biting, and the heat was relentless, so we headed back to Venice. (I didn't even dare suggest we go to the small island of Torcello next door, I knew how that would have been received...)

Great Burano page. If I HAD to move to Europe, I'd pick Burano. I'm glad you liked "Caché." I saw it a while ago, and it has staying power in one's mind, don't you think? Have a good Sunday.

Those colorful little houses must add a nice touch to the towns!
