Ansbach is a good sized big town/small city. It is a part of Franconian Bavaria. We were actually staying in the small village of Sommersdorf, about a twenty minutes car ride from Ansbach. (I'll build that page next okay?) We rented a car from a Hertz rental place. The car rental shop was not so close to Ansbach's train station, so we took a taxi to pick up the car. It cost less than 4 euros. The taxi ride, not the car...
Even though we had a car, we only used it for traveling up and down the romantic road visiting small towns. To get to larger places, like Frankfurt, Koblenz, Nuremburg, and Munich, we drove to Ansbach and took the train.
On our last day of this trip, we decided to actually visit Ansbach instead of using it as a starting point for other visits. It was a very nice place to spend the day! |
