"Deception Pass Bridge" Deception Pass State Park by Confucius

Deception Pass State Park Travel Guide: 25 reviews and 103 photos

There are two ways to drive to Whidbey Island. You can take the ferry from the south (Mukilteo) or you can drive north on I-5 (assuming you are coming from Seattle) and exit west at Mount Vernon.
The Deception Pass bridge is a popular place to stop and take photos for those who choose the northern route. Look down and watch the swirling whirlpools under the bridge.
The sign on the right side of the photo says: "Climbing On Bridge Is Prohibited", but you're not thinking of trying that, are you?

Hi, I enjoyed making a round trip by ferry to the island and then the northern route coming back. Hope to make it to China this year. Rob
