Japanese Flag Marking Position in Boppard, Germany

I spotted this Japanese position in the town of Boppard alongside a bend in the Rhine. Japanese Imperial Tourists had overtaken the city and were singing "Edelweiss" in a hastily constructed karaoke bar.

St. Goar transformed into Japanese duty free zone

Japanese Imperial Tourists took over this town with little resistance. The castle on the hill had just been converted into a brand name duty free boutique selling Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel, and beef jerky.

Pros:"I think it's wonderful that Germany is trying harder to cater to the Asian market"
Cons:"German shopkeepers greeting Chinese and Korean tourists with "Konnichiwa""
In A Nutshell:"The Japanese tourist invasion gives a big boost to the local economy and Germany should continue efforts to make guests from Japan feel welcome"
