"All aboard the train from Qinghai to Tibet! Part 1" Qinghai Sheng by Confucius

While eating lunch in the dining car you might be lucky enough to spot Tibetan antelope from the window of your dining car. If not, then you can take consolation in the fact that each table is decorated with a Tibetan antelope statue which will pose proudly for your picture.

On this page's travelogues I will post the best photos taken on the train from Golmud to Tanggula Pass, which is the border with Tibet. I also took the train from Lhasa to Golmud, enabling me to have a second chance at photos I missed during the first trip.

I also have a separate page for Qinghai Lake, but the train did not stop there so I didn't get many good pictures as it was late afternoon.

This is the last photo I took between Xining and Golmud. It is somewhere between Qinghai Lake and the town of Delingha. You see more animals than people in this part of China, as evidenced by this huge herd of sheep.
