Koyikkal Palace
The palace originally built for Umayamma Rani of the Venad royal family is now converted into Folklore Museum. Along with various traditional music instruments, agricultural tools and handicrafts, remians of Greek and Roman coins brought to Kerala by way of trade are among the collections. Models of Kerala ritual performance such as Theyyams are also exhibited.
The palace cum museum is located 18km from the city, in Nedumangad, on the way to Ponmudi Hill.
