"Bustling Border Town" Luohu by bpacker

Luohu is to HongKong as Johor Bahru Town is to Singapore. A place that promises a decadent day of shopping at lower exchange rates and a peek to the seedy underbelly of a border town. Underneath its starkly modern facade of high-rise buildings, metros and clean streets , you can find counterfeit goods for sale , KTV lounges for wine, women and song and anything your imagination dictates in the realm of hedonism. Anything that you can afford, that is. And in all likelihood, you can. This is a capitalist dream come true in a communist land and well-worth a day trip.
Since my idea of hedonism is to indulge in good food, I did just that. I had really good Tim Sum and roast goose covered with rich plum sauce. It was the best darn thing I ever had in my life so trust me, I will return for more!
