"The City that Floats on Water - Under Construction" Stockholm by bpacker

The Most Beautiful City in Europe

This 700-year-old capital is the city that floats on water and one of the world's most beautiful cities in the world. Why do I say that it floats on water? Well, Stockholm is built on 14 islands, so there is nearly always a view of the water.
Founded in the 13th century on a small strategically located island on Sweden's east coast, this is where the waters of Lake Malaren join the Baltic Sea.
Almost a third of the city is parkland, lush and green in the warm months and sparkling with snow in winter.

Frösunda

Far away from the glittery lights of the city, lies a small place called Frösunda . It's a real countryside place with real cows and lots of red houses and barns. I spent a very relaxing time there when I attended my friend's wedding...

Gamla Stan

After the wedding, I went to stay in the grand ole' dame, the Af Chapman, in Stokholm. It was very near this charming place, Gamla Stan which literally means "old town" . Gamla Stan is situated in a small island in the middle of Stockholm. It's a charming little place to walk about, with cobbled streets and old but colourful buildings. Click here for more details.
