The Green Spaces of Singapore Update, 22Sep06 : Spotted a wild crocodile in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserves recently. Read more about it here.
Singapore has surprising pockets of greenery just waiting to surprise you . And within these pockets lies lots of flora and fauna that tells you that you're in the tropics. And these fauna that you see here may be large, scaly and dinosaur-like. |
| A monitor lizard taking a stroll in kranji | Of course, when I say large, scaly and dinosaur-like, it includes a wide spectre of animals over here. I'm not just talking about crocodiles, we have monitor lizards who think nothing of doing a walkabout in parks up north here or iguanas who pop up in trees every now and then for a tasty insect snack. |
Of course, not all the fauna that you see in these pages are large and scaly. We do have other ancestors of dinosaurs. There are some feathered variety which I will detail in my off the beaten path pages. |
