Langkawi's skies and sleepy blue waters are seamless. You can't tell where heaven and earth meets sometimes. Everywhere I went, I was struck by the tranquility of the little island that had its fair share of storms and curses in the past. Be it exploring her underwater gardens or lush waterfalls, Langkawi is truly heaven on earth.

Langkawi's gems are not centred within her many touristy attractions but hidden quietly in the hills and seas. Of course I'm drawing some flak here but who can disagree about the beauty of her white sand beaches? All will beckon to you like a siren to stay a little longer. And under those waters lies another hidden world...

Beautiful Sea Creatures

Lots of beautiful sea creatures lie under Langkawi jade green waters, particularly near the protected marine sanctuary of Pulau Payar. For years, only the British Navy had access to this place but now it is opened to the public. Look what I saw when I was there!!

Pros and Cons

Pros:idyllic place to unwind and let time stand still
Cons:i can't think of anything at the moment.

Very informative page on Langkawi. The island has many wonders above and below the sea. This is a great place to get in some birdwatching also .

Am trying to break the comfort zone my hubby is in. His not the adventurers type, but mention Langkawi as a place he wants to see. Hope this will come thru. Great tips Glen!

Love your underwater pics, i know what u mean about the hard to get them, sometimes u need to try like 3 times to get the right shot :) but u got it spot on ! Keep adding to them, and keep diving! Sx
