Nightlife Spot: Geographer Cafe
This place has been touted as one of the most beautiful buildings in Melaka. Little wonder why, when I was there at night, the shop house restaurant looked like a little beacon amongst the artery of lanes in Jonker Street. Backpackers are drawn to this place like moths and most can be seen nursing a beer on the sidewalk tables. Hmm, I'm willing to bet this is in the Lonely Planet..
Afternote: Muddybok have since confirmed my bet and mentioned that it is in the ubiquitous traveller's bible. Surprisingly, he took an almost similar shot to mine. Ah, sometimes great minds think alike;)
Tip Update: It's cool to sit on the second floor of Geographers' on a Saturday Night and watch the weekend bazaar from there, with a tall cold glass of beer of course.

Dress Code: Strictly casual. If you can, grab a table on the sidewalk, nurse a "Tiger" beer (from S'pore) and people-watch at night. It's way too hot in the daytime for this..
