Lots of budget airline ply from Senai Airport to other international destinations. Since Senai is a short distance away from Singapore, there are lots of Singaporeans who take a trip out here to take advantage of the cheaper fares and fly to nearby destinations.

Quite surprisingly, the airport is modern, clean and efficient. Not quite like the backwater, zinc-roofed types found in a neighbouring country. You can take a decent breakfast here and fly to other locations in Malaysia or Indonesia.

senai airport has changed so much... for the better! was last there 9-10 years ago...! and it was a pathetic ramshackle-d backwater... crumbling ceiling tiles... and turd-flooded WCs.
