Skiing for the First Time

I was quite surprised to find out that there are some similarities to inline skating and skiing. Since I blade frequently , it didn't take me too long to figure out how to ski and brake on those darn things. So if you intend to pick up skiing , try roller blading first and pick up some basic skills from there.

Equipment: Ski Equipment is available for hire at the Dragon Plaza in Yong Pyong. If you intend to save some $$, you might want to consider hiring the equipment from Hwengye ( village at the base of the mountain ) but the trouble is, you have to lug the equipment on the bus....

Directions: Yong Pyong has 2 beginner ski lifts. Go for the one that's less crowded. The slope there is steeper but more fun !!!!
