    • Favorite Thing: Usually my favorite season for traveling is spring, when new life and blossoming takes place. It happened that late spring (September and October) is also the best time for game viewing. The "shoulder" seasons - spring and autumn - are best for hiking, as summer can be hot with summer thunderstorms. If you are planning to visit the "Garden Route" as well, the southern right whales hang around the coasts from about mid-June to the end of October.
    So October it was, and the weather was really great
