All I can say is that, as I haven't been on the Inka Trail to Machu Picchu, I can't compare. But the experience to Choquequirao was a fabulous one, that I will keep in my memory forever : 30 kilometers with my swedish friend Thomas, Armando, the limping muleman, and our slow-paced guide at the end of which we enjoyed this wonderful site, and even enjoyed 4 hours of sunshine.... We were only 5 tourists on the site. After that, 30 more kilometers and a bigger self-esteem made us the one-day kings of Choquequirao...
