You already know the wonderful view of Paris from Montmartre... What you probably don't know is that there is a less crowdy place, where the view is slightly different but as much beautiful as the one from Montmartre. It's in the area of Belleville, above the "Parc de Belleville". It may be dodgy at night, so just come during daylight, and enjoy also the Italian restaurant close to this place... Vous connaissez deja la vue impayable de Paris depuis Montmartre... Ce que vous ne savez peut-etre pas, c'est qu'il y a une alternative moins frequentee, d'ou la vue sur Paris est differente, mais toute aussi belle. Ca se trouve a Belleville, au-dessus du parc Belleville. Ca craint un peu le soir tard, donc venez en pleine journee, et profitez aussi du petit resto italien juste a cote...

BNF, as it's called in Paris, is a really nice place to read books, of course, but one of its best qualities relies upon the "little world" built around the library : consequently, it has become a place to wander around, watch a movie or even doze under the sun... La BNF, comme on l'appelle a Paris, est bien entendu un endroit pour consulter des ouvrages, vu que c'est surtout une bibliotheque, mais l'un de ses avantages repose sur le "petit monde" crée tout autour. Ca en devient un endroit agreable pour se promener, mater un film ou ronfler sous le soleil...

I really like this huge place between the most famous (Champs Elysees) and the most trendy (Le Marais) areas of Paris... J'adore vraiment cette place immense qui se trouve entre les endroits les plus connus (les Champs Elysées) et les plus "tendance" (Le Marais) de Paris...

Palais Royal: The former Royal Square - L'ancienne Place Royale

Now called 'Palais Royal', the place was formerly called Place Royale... This huge square is surrounded by two galleries (Montpensier and Valois) and this specific modern square (see pic).
Anciennement appelee Place Royale, les jardins du Palais Royal (petit Palais en comparaison avec le Grand Palais, pres des Champs-Elysees) sont entoures des galleries Montpensier et Valois et de cette place au style moderne (voir la photo)

So many comments or tips concerning this place... From my point of view, the Sacre Coeur, at the top of the Butte Montmartre, is a splendid church you wouldn't have imagined to find, here, in Paris... Il y a deja tellement de commentaires ou de tuyaux sur cet endroit.. Mon point de vue : le Sacre Coeur, au sommet de la Butte Montmartre, est une eglise splendide qu'on n'imaginerait jamais etre la, a Paris...

Unique, splendid, Notre Dame has to be seen, close up and in the far distance, from inside and outside, in sunny and rainy days... Unique et splendide, il faut voir Notre Dame de pres et de loin, de l'interieur et de l'exterieur, par jour de pluie et de beau temps...
