Once you step out of Amsterdam Central Railway Station, you can immediately see the water (= canals) and the people (= tourists), some of those things which make the Amsterdam to a city as it is.
Dam is the "central" square of Amsterdam.
When coming from the railway station it's really hard to miss it - just keep going where most of the people and streets, full of tourist attractions/shops are leading you.
You might usually spot some entertainers on the Dam as well on the other squares (pleins) of Amsterdam.
I have noticed that there are quite many churches in every Dutch city/town.
During my trip I have developed my self some kind of church and promenade fetish, since most of my pictures are like this. :)
But anyway... besides Red Light District there are something else to see in Amsterdam too!
