Noordwijk was home for me from the beginning of March till the end of May in 2003. I did my job/training on weekdays and travelled around on weekends. |
Noordwijk in Brief Noordwijk is rather small town on the coast of the North Sea approximately 10-15 kilometers from Leiden. It's located in the province of Zuid-Holland in the middle of (famous) flower growing area, which can really be seen in it's surroundings and happenings. Noordwijk is "divided" into two distinguish parts: Noordwijk-Binnen and Noordwijk aan Zee. Noordwijk-Binnen is more quiet part of the town located more inland (as you could guess from it's name). Noordwijk aan Zee is located nearby the coast (as you could also guess from it's name). It is highly populated with hotels and restaurants and is very popular tourist attraction mainly because of its 13 km long beach. During the summer (and spring) time Noordwijk is full of tourists, but it gets more quiet during the winter. |
