My city of choice. I moved here at the start of 1996. A great city to live in and visit. A great base to discover the North-West of Ireland and the Antrim coast.

Don't be put off coming here on holidays by all the bad press Northern Ireland gets. Unfortunately they always only show the negative news on telly, and never the good stuff of which there's plenty! We're getting there, slowly but surely ;o)

The picture you see here on the left is Shipquay Street with the Guildhall just outside one of the seven gates. And if you're wondering about the greeting at the top of the page, it's the warm local way to greet a friend ;o)

Your Derry page is wonderful my ancestors are from Derry and I hope to visit next your the metion of the Genealogy Centre was a great help more than I was expecting. I am also grateful to Krumel who helped me find this page.

i find the derry accent incomprehesible most of the time, though i've never been there. the softer Derry accent is really nice though
