Reichenau is truly a 4 season destination for single travellers as well as families and extreme tourists. The area caters for everybodies taste and has generally great climatic conditions and it's own "micro-climate" that is said to have healing qualities especially for those with heart and lung problems.... it has been a Spa for centuries and even the Austrian-Habsburg Emperors came often as they also had hunting chalets in these forests.

The Caslte Hotel - MARIEN HOF
The owner - Wilhelm Hubner is a friend of mine and whenever I visit I get the "Emperors suit" under the roof with the most stunnign view of the whole alpine panorama. The Hotel has also an excellent wine-cellar.

The Hotel is very busy all year round as 4 fantastic ski-& hiking resorts are just half an hour away and it is also popular because of the annual "Theatre Sommer" - where the celebrities flock to Reichenau for a bit of art ;)
