"... where kindred souls meet ..." Cambridge by iris2002

I am on my 3rd visit now to Cambridge and as ever, just love this place... it is eccentric (with a brithish stiff upper lip charm) and even if it rains (which is often)... this city is beautiful in all weathers... well, it also depends on ones company of course :)

However I have yet to do some "punting" .... :)

I arrived in Cambridge by train and must confess I was disappointed when I got off, as I was expecting the station and outer surroundings to be a bit more "nostalgic"....

great are the Botanical gardens.... WHAT a lovely place... a little paradise.

In underwater jungles
you move, you sway, you stir
sometimes unseen to naked eyes,
sometimes just a blurr

you shimmer gently through the waves
in cocky organge, reds and white
sometimes you touch the surface
to everyones delight

• Pros:Wonderful tranquil to walk through
• Cons:The day was a bit too overcast to enjoy the full colour spectacle... must come back :)
