The beauty of the language What I wanted to say about Cambodia was...... Cambodia, I categorize it as a unique country. One of the 7 greatest ancients is in Siem Reap. It is not an ordinary stone but a great ancient stone where the Budha was living. There is quite a number of best spot in Cambodia worth to be visited such as Battambang for a laid-back of lifestyle where pretty cool environment with friendly peoples around and safe as well to wandering around after dark (but not recommended). Eventhough there is to many complaint I've heard about the existing road, where as, I as well have gone through it (yes it is worst) but still, traveler loves enjoying the pick-up truck ride somehow. Like James, as I noticed he loves South East Asia very much eventhough he had such a horrible experienced during his RTW trip sometimes ago. I think so,..... but I guess maybe he just love it thats why he kept coming back to that ancient places. I supposed many other travelers here whom I never have been spoken yet must have got the same idea about Cambodia.
Beside they have a tragic story sometimes in year 1970's about Khmer Rouge regime for their cruelty as I pretty sure most of the visitor here have already known about the horrible history and how the "Angkar" rules the Kingdom of Cambodia sometimes ago. I think I shall not repeated again about the tales or making it up but absolutely Cambodia is worth to be visited.
After all, I ain't good commentator nor narrator just some kind of expression felling came out about it inside me. I strongly believed that Cambodia still in dangerous state of landmines where there is no way to clear it fast, therefore you must be very aware if you make any decision to have a jungle trekking or do the hiking. Thats why I felt pretty much pitty to a beggar's who are begging to survive with even one leg. Nonetheless those children's whom I met in Killing field area are pretty smart as well in begging up some money or good even in begging up for a pen. They will asked 'maam, picture? maam, picture?.... they wanted us to shot picture of them in order to get us to pay for that shot instead of they paying us. Those are just cute kids. pretty smart eh? |
We made the decision to go on to Phnom Penh by bus. Through my experienced, the road wasnt good enough for me to take a nap while on the bus. The road as bumpy as before though. There was about 10 passangers including me on the bus. The wheather are very hot and humid and dust all over the road, covered up the windscreen of the mini bus and it really dont make me feel comfortable to let the window open. I remembered that there is either Korean or Chinese guy who travel alone there in Cambodia and never talk English. I know it's really bad for me to observed him but I remembered that he was the one who has been asking me to shot his picture while on morning sunrise watching in Angkor Wat and just giving me a sign to do his favor has he really dont talk english. What happened to him? while the bus stop us in the middle of no where for meal - as no sign to be understand to me, he just like others traveler who are very kind and he seems very busy photograpying all the kids around until he forgot his small porch bag that he carried along his cell phone and few stuffs after he went back from gent all these while. On the bus about 100meter after we depart he suddenly come into the state of frantic. As he doesnt seems to know to speak English nor Khmer, he stood up and talk in chinese words which no one there could understand but through his sign of hand the driver stop the bus and he ran out to that place where we stopped by just now -restaurant, I supposed, as to pick up his things while we all in the bus started to mumble guessing and blaming the driver for not turning back. I was just sat and felt sympathy to him suddenly. He came back and found the porch but unfortunately the stuffs in side was gone and has been replaced with small stones. He was trying to explained to us but no one understand but I see his couragement to explain was strong as he need to released and tell his little story to let us know what a miserable day he had and what a smart local they have.
He seems very realeased after telling all out and we glad to have shared something like that with him. |
