Situated half in Europe and half in Asia, Istanbul is a bustling city, full of culture, colours, smells and the many visitors from all over the world, willing to capture its essence. It's a truly vibrant and exciting city!
Sultanahmet is its most well known and picturesque neighborhood, where you will find the mosques , the Grand Bazaar, and its essence. Taksim is the modern city, on the other side of Galata Bridge, with many brand hotels, but lacks any charm amd character. Unfortunately, I was wrongly advised to stay in this part of the city and I truly regret it. It doesn't compare with the old charm and beauty of Sultanahmet! |
