Koh Samui is a lovely island located in the Gulf of Thailand. It's a small island, easy to get around. It has lovely beaches, great food and the people are very friendly.
I spent a fabulous week there on my trip to Thailand before leaving to Bangkok. I went with my son and daughter and we stayed at the Chaweng Regent Resort, located in Chaweng Beach.
Arriving in Koh Samui is fun because the airport is the cutest I have seen, very tropical, it has nothing to do with usual airports.
The best time to visit Koh Samui, unlike other islands in Thailand, is between April and September.
