Paris is a great place to visit. I wouldnt recommend staying for extended periods of time as you will grow to dislike the place. Visit all the tourist places such as the Louvre and Notre Dame, but be careful if you get into the night-life. At 3am Paris can be a very dangerous place...especially for women. It is damned near impossible to get a taxi anywhere in the city. If you like coffee, stop in any cafe and order a cafe au lait, its the best. Dont feel obligated to tip, as none of the locals tip, and you may or may not get better service if you do. My favorite places to hang out are... Jim Morrisons grave (I snuck in at night with my friends...very spooky), Chatelet is a great place to get good food at cheap prices, any cafe, the Bains Douche is a good place to spot famous people if you can get in the vip section, and anywhere along the seine river is a good spot to lounge in the sun.
