One of the greatest gifts my mother gave me as a child was the urge to see some of the world.When she became ill she told me to go out there and see some of this fantastic planet and that has been something that his stuck to me through the years. I am not a back packer. I believe that they are the true travellers of the world. I am just a basic guy that likes to save up money and go and visit places. I wish I had a family that I could tell all my stories to. I wish I could tell my friends all about my trips, but the truth is that I dont really have anyone that is very interested in my trips so this virtual tourist page is a fantastic way for me to be open and write what I want and hopefully someone somewhere will be interested in one of the places I have visited. I will tell you about things that have happened to me and about things I did on my trip. You may not see things the way I saw them, but I will be true to myself and tell you as much about my trips as I can

I live in the city of Aberdeen on the east coast of Scotland. I live in a small flat with my dog Cally. She is my best friend and I enjoy spending my time with her. I am at college at the moment and I am half way through my Fine Arts course. I like the Theatre, cinema, nature, painting, photography, reading, gardening and most outdoor activities. I love travelling and have been interested in other countries and cultures from a very early age.

I have lived here in Aberdeen all my life. My mother died when I was a teenager and I think that changed me a lot. I worked all my life in the same boring job. Working in a large supermarket and later moving onto nightshift work. I suffered post traumatic stress 4 years ago and went to see an Art Therapist who helped me deal with what I had seen and now I could deal with it . He also encouraged me to go to Art School and this has been a totally different thing in my life. I am really enjoying my time in college and this has opened new doors to me . I love to travel and pick up ideas and feelings from the places I visit .Then when I get back home I will try and create Art using things I have seen and done on my trips

I have a Sister who I think the world of and Brother. They are both married with two kids each and I love my nieces and nephew. I have some fantastic memories of them on holiday. My brothers family went with me to Spain and The Grand Canaria and My sisters kids went with me to Disneyland Paris and Florida.
My best friend Mac loves to drive in other countries and I love reading maps so everything works out great. I enjoy spending time with the people that are close to me . I like nothing better then to mess about out in the countryside having a picnic. My dog is just wonderful and a big part of my life. She demands a lot of attention

My space is at the bottom of the garden. I go down there to loose track of time and just watch the insects and wildlife. I love gardening and my whole garden is geared to attract nature. At the moment I am very excited by a grey squirrel who comes to steal the bird nuts in the garden. I have bluetits that nest in the nesting box every year and my flowers look fantastic this year.
Nature is a big part of me .When I travel I like to see as much nature as I can. You dont have to travel far to see nature and wildlife. It is all there at the bottom of your garden. You just have to go down there and look for it. This yeah I have planted things to attract butterflies and I am now getting the rewards for planting these plants.
