I left France without any idea of how it would be. I had already been to England, Spain, Amsterdam, French Guyana, EU, Canada and Guadeloupe, but believe me I NEVER FELT LIKE I DID arrinving in such a place. Temples hidden in a the middle of a noisy, dirty city. Old men taking their little birds for a nice walk at 5 pm. Night Markets full of surprises...Well I was completly astonished. I wasn't help by my Carot face. People were staring at me touching my hair, I felt like coming from an American TV screen!!!!! |

| | Taiwanese never stop living. They work very very hard during the day. Shops open from 8 or 9 am til 11at night. Then to change their minds, they go to the night market. In such a place, you can find anything. Food (corn, frogs,snakes,kidneys...and CHOTOFO!!....) Clothes, fake rollers and Mont Blanc, Animals, DVDs not yet reliesed....well anything. It is a crazy place and I miss it a lot now. |
| | Country where Tomorow is not sure Well, during the 6 months I spent there, I went through frightening events I will never forget. Anyone has to know before going there that earthquakes are very frequent. the first one is very scarrying but then you get used to it. Well you have no choice anyway. I lived two months in the most dangerous place as far as earthquake is concerned: Puli. In 1999 they lost everything in a terrible seism, from which the city has not completly recovered yet. |
