The Klässbol linen factory is world wide famous. Textiles from this fabrication are used at Swedish Embassies (even the Norwegian). Since 1991 special tablecloths and napkins have been made for the Nobel dinner, at the Nobel Prize ceremony in December. The fabrication is concentrated on natural materials (linen and cotton) and traditional patterns of good quality. The company was started 1921 by the grandfather to present owner, Hjalmar Johansson. He had his knowledge from a weaving school in Borås (well known city in Sweden for its textile industry). But he died at the young age of 43 and the company was taken over by the family (the children were in the ages of 19 to 7), and has been within the family since. |
