New production of honey

Favorite thing: This is Ricardo, a pioneer in the local honey industry. Actually he had got three years interchange with Sweden, when he studied the bee and honey treatment in Sweden (Valdemarsvik). Some bee queens have been brought to this valley giving birth to a new international race of bee that collect much honey.
Ricardo now works with about 50 local farmers and teach them how to produce honey. They also produce bee wax and pollen, which is a new thing for the peruvians.
He gave me a little bottle of wine made out of honey, a very sweet wine with unmistakable taste.
In his stand he also had some "false honey" (mixed with sugar etc) to teach the people how to separate a real honey from a fake, and by that learn to estimate the real honey.

Fondest memory: On the sign there is the name of the Swedish association of bee farmers:
"Svenska biodlares riksförbund" that has given support to this interresting bee project.
The project is now starting to finance itself and there is a possibility to start up to around 5000 bee farmers in this region. So this can be something, in a few years.
