In this picture that is taken from Huayna Picchu, you can see the Inca trail coming in from the left (which was the main entrance).
You can also see the bus road (the zig-zag) up to Machu Picchu.

Beautiful place, though too bad the Solar Stone was damaged. I hope to visit someday, the scenery looks very wonderful.
