*) This page concerns the district of Miraflores in Lima. It is the only location that shows up, searching for Miraflores in Dep. de Lima. However, looking at my map I have come to the conclusion that "this" Miraflores (in the VT data base) is located around 60 km north from Lima (somewhere around Chancay-Huaral-Aucallama - which I can´t find in my map).
I will move my pages as fast as I have a place to put it, in the city of Lima!
Well, here are my pages of the real district of Miraflores in Lima:

The old entrance to Miraflores from the playa.
The jumpy brick road is crossed by bridges made of wood. A contrast with the modern part of Miraflores
Playa and road are constructed at the base of the cliffs. This Playa road "Circuito de Playas" is a rapid transportation Chorrillos - Magdalena. Some parts near Magdalena are closed, two accidents with falling stones, but the hill sides will be "cleaned" and the inclination altered to make it more safe in the future. The road area and also the playa (beach) has been "stolen" from the sea, with help from the piers that have been constructed out in the sea and which stop sand. It´s incredible how easy it works.
Chorrillos in the background. The cliffs are some 40-60 m high, in some parts covered with vegetations. Sometimes the coast line is called Costa Verde (The Green Coust). Some parts are just stone and sand. By the way, with exception of Cairo in Egypt, Lima is the biggest town constructed in a desert.
- In a nutshell:A modern business district in Lima.
