The popularity of Carnaval in Belgium is based in Aalst. Since 1923 is there a celebration in town and develop to be " traditional" the carnaval celebration becomes bigger and bigger and improves the quality to impress public. in 1953 was the first Carnaval Prince election.
Situated at the Grand Square...more popular to a 3 star restaurant in town.
Tired of hanging around bigger cities like Brussels, Ghent?....why not explore Aalst..these city offers quite more relaxing and entertaining right between Brussels and Ghent..yes, we knew that the two closer city within Aalst is more popular to tourist but I assure you, Aalst is worth a visit.
