Nueva Caceres

Naga City is one of the most important city in the Bicol Region of Luzon island in the Philippines. Although Naga does not have a star attraction, the Mayon Volcano, which looms over that other major Bicol city, Legazpi City, Naga has a long history boasting an impressive collection of fine colonial buildings from the Spanish era. Naga City is the oldest city in Bicol and it was called by the colonisers as Nueva Caceres. It is so Catholic that the city is known for its religious festival that honours the Virgin Mary. It hosts the annual fluvial parade along the river that cuts through the city.

Naga is not second largest to Legaspi. It is Bicol's commercial, educational, religious, and cultural center. In Legaspi, there are no 24/7 establishments, meaning no night life.
