There are hundreds of those pesky taxi drivers that tout their services as tour guides. I gave in to one of them, luckily he was alright and not a rip-off. I made friends with the taxi driver who showed me to places where very few tourists see. For a day tour it was around $30 which I think was reasonable considering I got to see hard to get to places with very little hassle. Bombay can get frustrating sometimes.
