Restaurant Name: Kelly's/The Forest/Kelly's Restaurant and Tap Room

Legendary Bryn Mawr bar Kelly's finally opened in March after what seemed like an eternity of construction and confusion.
Kelly's Pub served as one of the top watering holes for Villanova students since 1940, but was closed for renovations in 2002 and has sat dormant ever since. Turns out a group of former 'Nova students purchased the bar but had trouble getting Lower Merion Township to agree to the renovations and the re-opening of what was essentially a glorified fraternity house basement.
Luckily for them, the owners were able to convince the Township that the new "Kelly's Restaurant and Taproom" would be an asset to the community. The new spot has several upscale features, including a plethora of flat-screen TVs, a full-service Kitchen, a smoke-free upstairs dining area, and a wall of large windows that open to the street on the first floor.
Clearly Kelly's has moved upscale, but don't expect the college kids to stay away completely. On one hand, Kelly's must prove to township officials that they can handle the burden -- so much so that the opening of an upstairs outdoor mezzanine depends on it, but on the other hand it is owned by former 'Nova students who understand the value of the college crowd.

Favorite Dish: Kelly's used to be, pretty much, a dive bar, where generations of Villanovans learned to drink
Who wanted food? I think maybe there were pickled eggs and Slim Jims, but I can't really remember.
I'm not sure I will have the heart to visit this new reincarnation.
