Getting TO/AROUND: Mastering the Métro should be one of your first tasks for enjoying Paris. The Métro is an affordable, safe, reliable way to get anywhere in Paris, and on most lines, beyond Paris. This is the best on-line Métro map I have found. It is easy to read, and has several nice interactive features. It will plot your route from one point to another, explaining any required transfers, and will tell you the time required for your trip. I just read an article saying that Starbucks is losing money; stock price has been dropping and retail sales are down. I too am disgusted by the thought of Starbucks and Mcdonalds and Burger Kings in Paris, even though I have yet to visit France. |
