Our favorite stop during a visit to Provins, Mamie Gâteaux is an inexpensive restaurant with wonderful things. On our last visit, a very hot summer day, I had fresh peach juice-- incredibly refreshing and delicious. Here you can sample a provins specialty-- rose-flavored food. Try a crepe with rose icecream, rose syrup, and rose jam. Sublime! You can also purchase rose cakes, spice bread, etc.

Favorite Dish: I've become a fan of rose-flavored things.

We'll finally be visiting Provins next week. I was wondering... is it a rather "quiet", isolated town, or is there also a new town outside the ramparts? I have no idea of what I can expect.

Pretty cool page on a place that I just discovered today.

A great looking town not far from Paris! Yes, I can well imagine you are having trouble re-adjusting to life in the States. (I know I would. In fact my life style would be totally impossible in most of the US.) Any plans for at least a vacation in Paris?
