I'll never forget how delighted I was the first time someone asked me if I wanted my coffee hot or iced. Being from Texas, I have to ask, explain, ask again, and eventually beg to get iced coffee. Iced latte? Okay, no problem. A latte is not coffee, it's some fru-fru stuff that yuppies drink. They can make that iced. You ask a Texan for an iced coffee though and their brain goes into melt down. Coffee.Is.Hot.Not.Cold. They just don't get it. Thus, my first memory of NYC.
I've been to NYC several times - usually once a year to catch some baseball action.
I've stayed in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Maybe not as exciting as the others, Brooklyn has proved to be old reliable to me. Easy in /easy out. Good corner food.
NYC is a work in progress too. |
