Trip to Thailand

by Elginah - last update: Oct 3, 2002

4 days in Bangkok

*woah* The first words that came out of my mouth upon leaving Bangkok Intenational. We arrived quite early and getting a taxi was pretty easy *harhar* We stayed at the Rembrandt Hotel, which was a short walk to Asok BTS (skyline)station. We were in Bangkok in 1998, so we'd been to most of the tourist spots - not Wat Arun though, 'coz the tuk-tuk driver tried to dupe us. But we took the skytrain, crossed the river by longtail boat and there was Wat Arun!
Explored the weekend market with some local help. Generally did a lot of browsing.

Pros:"If there's something you want, you can most definitely find it in Bangkok - and at a good price too"
Cons:"Air and noise pollution"
In A Nutshell:"What a city!"

Interesting Forensic Science Museum. I don't think I'd like it though. ;)

yah, Tuk Tuk guys can be quite shady, u just got to act like u know their game and just maybe they will actually take you to the right place without a stop for "gas coupon" etc etc etc scams. lol
