Enterance to Mount Rushmore National Mounument

The Nation Monument was remodeled several years ago. They built new parking and a new visitors center. Before from what I was told, you parked within a few feet of the avenue of flags and could see the mountain from the parking lot. Now they charge to park(per vehicle). and you must walk a ways before you can see any thing. It is handicap accessable and very nice. But it made the locals very unhappy.
