Clark SD main industry is farming. It was potatoes but not so many grow potatoes here any more. A major company had a potatoe processing plant here but it closed recently. They found it was cheaper to truck the potatoes in than buy them locally. There is still a small company out in the country making Dakota Style Potatoes Chips.
They celebrate Potato Days, the first Saturday in August. They have a parade,antique tractors caravan, Mashed Patato Wrestling and other activities.
