Just a night............

We stopped for the night in Healy as it had been a long day for us already and the roads were icy so I didn't want to push on to Fairbanks which was still 112 miles icy miles away. The skies were clear which would make for some good Northern Lights viewing....I hoped for spectacular but had an average evening of viewing them.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Better to visit in summer......but winter can have great Northern Lights!

good page and you could never bore me with the northern lights aren't they magical. I saw them in Churchill with the added bonus of having to keep an eye open for polar bear. Bitter night but I could not get enough of the lights

Hi Scott, I would stay up until 5:30 to see the aurora borealis! I am flying to Iceland in February HOPING to see the Northern lights. It was great seeing them on your page. Frank
