Fairgrounds: Bear Country Music Festival

If you are lucky enough to visit Kodiak during mid-July when the Bear Country Music Festival is taking place then you should head to the Fairgrounds which is located just 5 miles past the Buskin River. There are usually over 100 musicians that play all kinds of music from Rock, Country, Pop, Blue Grass, Blues etc......It's a great time that is put on by the local Lions Club. There is music going simutaneasly on 3 stages so you can pick you type of music. It costs about $15 to get in for one day with other deals for weekends and families etc....

Address: Mile 9.0 of the Chiniak Highway

Directions: At Mile 9.0 you will see the buildings on the right hand side of the road. You can't miss it!
