"Monkey Temple" Kathmandu by herzog63

The Monkey Temple is a cool place to visit. I forgot the name of it but any guide book will tell you. I rented a bike to ride there from Durbar Square. It is a fun ride. I paid a ransom to the boys at the bottom of the hill to watch my bike. Very Cheap!! If you don't they will let the air out of your tires and then rent an air pump to you for more than the ransom!

Loved the tips about the prayer wheels. Would still like to go to Kathmandu one day.
Very interesting prayer wheel. Your kidding,is it really is flat there?
This is a place I'd like to re-visit some day... including a visit to nearby Tibet!! Very useful tip about the boys by the bicycle parking :-)
I love your photo on your intro page. Another wonderful destination you have visited. Well Done (~_~)
No words Scott! What a great adventure! :)
Scott, you have been to some amazing places! I had just assumed that the city was perched on some mountain slopes until you set me straight!
Be careful when you rent those bicycles, especially if the King is out and about on the Ring Road.
I hope you will find your journal in Nepal,Scott..so that new more tips here!
I know you've been told this before, but here it goes again: amazing opening photo!
Yes, that monkey temple was lovely. Wonderfull picture, Scott.
