Mt Popa makes for a great half or full day trip from Bagan. I actually left Bagan at 3 Pm so I could watch the sunset. Then I returned back to Bagan in the night time.
- Pros:Beautiful setting!

I can definitely agree on the retro shrine lighting....and the yeti monk gave me a good laugh. I really enjoyed these pages, thank you ;-) Craig
Hey Scott, looks like a beautiful Golden Temple here
Super photos and tips. Thanks for sharing.
An amazing spot with fantastic views! It sounds and looks like quite an experience that you and your son had. Good thinking with that Taxi problem!!
Never heard of the place (let alone pronounce it!). Another "gold"-en page.
What a beautiful place!!,if you are thiking to go again, may I'll go also and carry your luggage??? :-) awesome photos, and funny monkeys and Yeti ones!!
It does seem magical, just as you say, and very impressive too! I didn't realise Buddhism has also nuns besides monks!... You've just reduced my ignorance a bit! :-D
I just adore far east! Lucky Scotty! Bravo!:-))
Soccer playing monks and glaring monkeys, not to mention the shoe extortionist, and to top it all off a rare yeti sighting. A fascinating and fun place.
Wow, what pictures! You've made a trip to a fairytale world.
